Who holds my guest's money?

You do. When a guest pays on your website, the charge is made on your own Stripe account. The money is yours from the moment it clears, and it pays out to your bank on your Stripe schedule.

Stayolo never holds it, never routes it, and takes no commission from it. We charge you a flat monthly subscription and nothing per booking.

This is not a technicality; it changes several things you should know about.

You are the merchant. Your name appears on the guest's card statement, not ours. Guests contacting their bank about a charge are contacting them about you.

You own the relationship and the risk. If a guest disputes a charge, the chargeback is against your Stripe account and Stripe will ask you for evidence. Keep your booking confirmations and messages; they are what wins a dispute.

Your payout timing is Stripe's, not ours. We cannot speed it up, delay it, or see inside it. Your Stripe dashboard is the authority on when money lands.

Refunds come from your balance. There is no float here to draw on.

The trade for that responsibility is that nobody sits between you and your income, and a busy month costs you exactly the same subscription as a quiet one.
