How do I see my past guests?
The Bookings page has a Guests tab. It gathers the people who have stayed with you, so you can see who has been more than once rather than scrolling through reservations trying to remember a name.
This is the quiet asset in a direct-booking business. A guest who has already stayed costs nothing to reach and has nothing left to be sold — they know the place. A host with a hundred past guests and their addresses has something; a host with a hundred past guests and no way to reach any of them has a history.
Offline bookings count here too, as long as you entered a name and an email when you recorded them. That is the reason to bother filling those fields in for the booking your neighbour's cousin made by text.
Two things to remember, because this is personal data about other people and you are responsible for it:
Say what you will use it for when you take an address, and keep to it.
Writing to a past guest about your own property is usually fine. Adding them to a general mailing list they never asked for is not, and making it hard to unsubscribe is worse. Two messages a year, both specific, will outperform a newsletter anyway.
See the article on your obligations for guests' data — under the GDPR you are the controller of this list, not us.
