What is the assistant on my site?

Your property site can carry an assistant that answers a guest's typed questions using what you have written about the property — the description, amenities, house rules, location and availability.

It exists because most pre-booking questions are the same four: is there parking, is the wifi good enough to work, can we arrive late, is it really that close to the beach. Answering those at eleven at night is how enquiries turn into bookings, and you cannot always be there.

What it is given is the property's own details and the guest's question. It is not given your guests' contact details, your bookings or your payouts. The question is processed by an external AI provider — the category is listed on our subprocessors page, along with everything else that touches data on your behalf.

Two limits worth knowing.

It answers from what you wrote. A thin description produces a thin assistant. If it keeps failing on a question, the answer is usually missing from your property page, and adding it there fixes the assistant and the page at once.

It is not you. For anything specific to a person's booking — a late arrival, a special request, a refund — a guest should reach you directly, and the page should make that easy.

Treat it as a way to stop losing people who had one small question at midnight, not as a substitute for talking to your guests.
