How do I offer a discount code?

Promo codes live on the Calendar page. Create one, give the guest the code, and they enter it at checkout on your website.

This is one of the few things you can do on your own site that you cannot do on a marketplace, so it is worth using deliberately rather than as a permanent discount.

Where it genuinely earns its keep:

Returning guests. A code you send in your after-stay email is the most useful version. It gives the guest a concrete reason to come back to you directly rather than search again from scratch.

Filling a specific gap. A three-night hole between two bookings that will otherwise stay empty is worth more discounted than empty.

People you actually know. Friends of past guests, the neighbour's family, a local business that sends you visitors.

Two cautions.

A code that never expires quietly becomes your real price. Give them an end date.

And be careful where you post them. A code shared publicly will be found by voucher sites, and you will end up discounting bookings that would have paid full price.

The discount applies to the booking total on your own site. It has no effect on any other platform, and it does not change what Stripe charges you to process the payment.
