What do the numbers on my dashboard mean?

Your analytics page shows four numbers.

Total views is how many times your property pages were loaded. It tells you whether anyone is arriving at all. A site nobody visits does not have a conversion problem, it has a nobody-knows-about-it problem, and the fix is links and word of mouth rather than page design.

Booking requests is how many people started the process rather than only reading.

Revenue is what you have actually taken through the site.

Conversion is the share of visitors who went on to book. This is the one that tells you something about the page itself.

The trap with all four is reading them too early. A property site with forty visits in a month does not have a meaningful conversion rate — one booking either way moves it enormously. Wait for a few hundred visits before concluding anything, and compare a season against the same season rather than against last month.

Where the numbers are genuinely useful is as a before-and-after. Add real photographs of every room, or put your own name and face on the page, or write a proper description, then look again a month later. That is a comparison worth trusting.

Bookings you took offline and entered by hand count in your revenue, because they are real income, but they were never website visitors — so a busy month of phone bookings will make your conversion look better than the page deserves.
